Hypno-Gastric Band
the latest way to lose weight easily without dieting, just using the power of the subconscious mind.
You could say ‘Mind over fatter’.
With the Hypno-Gastric Band a person can easily lose a stone in weight, on average, in a month without ‘so-called’ dieting.
Over the last few years, celebrity news has made the public aware of the benefits of having a gastric band fitted in the drive to loose weight. Celebrities such as Fern Britton and Sharon Osbourne, who were constantly in the public eye, had a gastric band fitted through surgery.
This surgical procedure puts a band around the top of part of the stomach to make it smaller which in turn makes the patient feel full after eating just a small amount of food.
During training to become a hypnotherapist, we are taught,
‘what the mind perceives the body believes.’
By using hypnosis, the subconscious mind can be made to believe that a gastric band has been fitted. Using guided visualisation techniques, an experienced hypnotherapist is able to take someone through a gastric band operation whilst in a deep state of hypnosis and in the safety of a hypnotherapist’s office. This is non-invasive and safe.
After the session people often say that they feel calm, less stressed and the session was a very pleasant experience.
This is not a fad or restrictive diet where you have to worry about the menu whether eating out or your normal everyday routines. It’s about feeling and understanding when your hypno-gastric band tells you you’re full and to stop eating. It is time to start enjoying and savouring your food rather than eating far too much and far to fast. The rule is to eat when you’re hungry and to stop when you are satisfied. Don’t allow yourself to become starving hungry and don't let yourself get bloated. Don’t pile your plate high, start with a little and if you are still hungry after, have a little more. Most of all enjoy your food.
If you are reading this, you are probably already aware, diets just don't work. Is the phrase ‘yo-yoing’ relevance to your situation?
A diet is a short term eating plan with a beginning, middle and an end. You follow the eating regime, loose weight, then revert back to your old eating habits and so regain the weight and usually more besides, but I presume this is not news to you?
- The hypno-gastric band, just like a real gastric band, is for life.
- Just like a real gastric band, there is no dieting, no counting calories.
- You can eat what you want when you want, just make your portions smaller, because you will be fuller sooner.
One of the reasons we become over weight is faulty programming in childhood, such as things said to us by adults, for instance ‘if you don't clean your plate you can't have a pudding’.
Now as an adult we know it's fine to leave some food on a plate, it’s not about cleaning the plate but enjoying the food and taking back control.
Another reason for over eating, and probably the most important, is emotional eating (comfort eating) which can tend to be predominantly a female issue but not always.
This is when somewhere in a person’s life, usually before the age of eleven, (when intelligence is limited) a highly emotional incident occurred, and the subconscious mind as decided to repress that memory (remove it from the conscious thoughts). This repression served a ‘protection’ purpose as a child but no longer serves any purpose as an adult.
This can be a root cause and the ‘over eating’ problem is just a symptom. Just as there is a root cause for symptoms like phobias, anxieties and panic attacks, overeating is simply comforting the root cause and until the root cause is resolved the overeating will continue to be a problem.
The method use by Alan Kershaw’s School of Holistic Hypnotherapy is to treat both root cause and symptom at the same time and that is why it's so very affective!
This means whilst you are losing weight, you are also clearing out all the emotional baggage that has helped contribute to your excess weight and any other symptoms/problems that may be connected.
A real gastric band costs approximately £8000 and can be only 70% effective, aside from the dangerous post-operative side effects. It will create the physical requirement to eat less, but won’t release the underlying emotional baggage that has helped create your problem.
Research shows women spend about £25,000 in a lifetime on diets and on average spend around £190 each time before they break a diet.
The Hypno-Gastric Band means no fad diets, no calorie counting, no specialist foods, no counting anything, no banning of any foods, but logically if you can only eat small amounts of food, it makes sense to include healthy and nutritious foods in your daily intake.
You have to be prepared to listen to your body, understand the new feelings of fullness and get used to taking smaller amounts on your plate.
You will not feel like eating large amounts and you will not feel hungry if you follow the guidelines
- let it start working for you now!
